Dublin (Howth), Ireland - #8

Today we went to Howth, a little fishing town outside Dublin.

Waiting for the train to take us to Howth.

Howth!

Irish Coast Guard

a few sailboats live in Howth, they are shy in this picture.

Michael not looking at the water for some reason.

Rebecca not looking at the water either.

We saw Nessie, The Loch Ness Monster!

some island off the harbour, must be were Nessie sleeps.

I wouldn't go fishing in that boat.

Atleast they have a real boat to come pick you up when you capsize.

The Yacht Club. The sailboats have come out to play.

everyone needs a little lighthouse

just a picture of the area.

they like living on the edge in Howth

a little waterfall cropped from previous picture

Rebecca had a coffee after lunch. She was a little jittery!

Dublin, Ireland - #7

Our day started on a search for the Irish Jewish Museum

We found it, but it was closed. We will try again Sunday.

Cool fencing

Chimney row

Rebecca balancing St. Patrick's Cathedral

It was quite windy on the grounds of St. Patrick's.

The sun setting behind the cathedral.

The Bad Art Gallery really did have some bad art and...

it was right next to the Fine Art Gallery.

A local artist Maser did some impressive outdoor work.

The Guinness factory tour!

a few bottles from the past 249 years Guinness has been around.

The actual 9000 year lease signed by Arthur Guinness.

Lots of water used to make the beer.

Isn't she lovely.

Rebecca pulling her own pint.

Practice makes perfect!

Rebecca's perfectly pulled pint of Guinness straight from the factory.

Up high at the Guinness factory overlooking Dublin.

She is working on it...

Still going...

Almost done...

And she finished it!

Dublin at night.

A very dramatic exit from the Guinness factory.

Some creepy people in Dublin.

Cheers!

Galway, Ireland #2

Small castle we saw on our way to the caves and cliffs.

Entrance to the Aillwee Cave....spooky!

Rebecca is ready to go spelunking.

4,500 year old bear bones

Stalactites

A waterfall in the cave.

Another waterfall in the cave.

Poulnabrone Dolmen (burial site from 8500 years ago)

They do cool fencing in Ireland.

No mortar!

All that fencing keeps in these wooly creatures that are everywhere.

Cliffs of Moher, over 700 foot rise!

HUGE!

It was cold there and extremely windy.

So windy that the water was flowing UP!

Way down the cliffs.

Rebecca was cold by the water.

On our way back down by the waters edge.

Cheers!
